2020 changed our way of life quite drastically. With COVID creeping in unexpectedly, causing a world-wide recession and pandemic.

Fast forward to March 2022 and we’re only just learning how to ”live with it”. Offices, nightclubs, stores, theatres, they’re all opening back up and employees are returning to work. The aim now is to boost the economy in our respective countries any way that we can. One of the suggested ways to do this, is to change the 5-day working week to 4.


The pandemic has already pushed most companies to adopt a remote way of working, so what of the 4-day week? Not only will it help boost the economy, but it’ll help your employees feel more satisfied in their role and deliver on productivity as a result.


But is a 4-day week right for your organisation?


Here are some key questions to consider before starting a four-day week:

  • How will you determine effectiveness?
  • Will you adopt the program for all employees?
  • What will clients and customers think?
  • Is it feasible for your industry?
  • Are you clear on your goal as to why you are considering changing the time table?


4-day week sounds scary, right? Just keep in mind that until 1926 we were working 6 day weeks, 9-12 hours per day … Evolution.
