Accepting Responsibility For Your Actions

Accepting Responsibility For Your Actions

  • June 6, 2021

Wether it’s you who needs to learn how to accept responsibility for your actions, a peer, an employee or you’re simply looking to find a way to embed this behaviour in your employees proactively, here are four phrases to get comfortable with if you’re to accept responsibility for your actions.

  • Thanks for correcting me, I didn’t realise that
  • I hadn’t thought of it like that. I understand now
  • I was wrong about that, and I’ve changed my mind
  • I should have done more research before arguing the point

We have to learn to accept when we’re wrong. there’s no shame in being wrong, there’ only shame in refusing to learn from it.

Be accountable for your results, take ownership of your mistakes, accept responsibility for your actions, and lead by example so that those around you can do the same.

This will contribute to you building a high performing team!
